摘要
当前的图书馆自动化是指计算机应用在图书馆领域的一种延伸,既利用计算机来处理图书资源的各种信息,完成书籍借出还回服务,同时实现电子收录,互联网检索等功能来实现图书馆的自动化。而在这领域里,国内外进行图书馆自动化研究的各大机构、厂商都是从事处理算法的优化和检索服务的扩展研究,是在软件层面上进行的开发。而图书馆机器人从自动化方面,同时在自动化仓库原理的基础上,实现图书馆流通领域的革命性的跨越,突破了传统的图书馆自动化的局限性。图书馆机器人代替人力,完成操作繁重、枯燥的馆内图书资源的整理,从而实现图书馆真正意义上的自动化,也为图书馆的封闭式管理提供了技术支持,为图书馆的发展开拓了新的领域。
