摘 要 非对称数字用户线（ADSL）是利用现有电话网的铜双绞线为用户提供宽带业务的一种新技术。本文对不对称数字用户线（ADSL）的基本概念、特点和接入技术，所能提供的宽带业务、技术性能、系统组成作了介绍和说明。阐述了 ADSL技术的基本原理以及一个基于 ADSL技术的校园网的的设计思想、功能特点、实现方法及应用。并指出利用ADSL，把宽带信息沿普通电话线（铜线）送到千家万户，是数十年时间内过渡到光纤到家（FTTH）的有效传输手段。 关键词：ADSL,宽带接入,双绞线,ADSL调制解调器,校园网,Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line,Broadband access,Twisted pair line, ADSL Modem,Campus network ABSTRACT The ADSL(asymmetrical digital subscriber line) is a new technology which provides subscribers with broadband services by using the existing twisted pair lines in the telephone network. In this dissertation, the basic concept and features, system composition and technical performance of asymmetrical digital subscriber line(ASDL), as well as broadband services provided by ADSL etc, are described and explained. Mainly introduces the principle of ADSL technology and the main idea , function, features and application based on ADSL technology on campus network. It may be pointed out that, using ADSL, residential broadband information could be transmittd over ordinary twisted pair line in the transition period which may be several decades to fiber-to-the-home.
