Abs tract: Because of w ell- know n excellent superiorities, p late- column structures have been w idely used
day by day since it appeared. H ow ever, its seism ic behavior has awl ays been one of concerned problem s.
Concept and state of the art of design m ethods of p late- column structure and p late- column and shearw all
structure are briefly introduced. Seism ic behaviors of p late- column structure are evaluated from some aspects
includ ing top drift of structure subjected to w ind load and frequently occured earthquake, resu lt of pushover a-
nalysis, seism ic behavior of joint and analysis of structuremodes. And seism ic behavior of plate- column and
shearw all structure is prelmi inarily d iscussed. .
