This novel has gone through multiple translations since its introduction to China, but each version has some problems for various reasons. This paper takes the Chinese translation of Steppenwolf as the research object, starting from language, culture, literary value, and other aspects, to explore and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of relevant Chinese translations of the novel, in order to provide some enlightenment for better introducing the novel to Chinese readers in the future.
