The influence of operatin volta e on ion adsorption amount of activated carbon w as stud ied first, and then electrostatic adsorption amounts of activated carbon to alkali and alkaline earth metal ch lorides w ere compared. The correlation betw een ion electrostatic adsorption amount and structural properties of activated carbonw as also discussed. Itw as found that the ion electrostatic adsorption amount increases as the operatin volta e increases in the volta e ran e of 06 ~ 12 V. Capacitive
