J.K.Rowling was born in Chipping Sodbury, England, on July 31, 1965. She studied French at Exeter University and then took a job with Amnesty International in London, the human rights group. The idea for Harry Potter came to Rowling in 1990 during a ride train from Manchester to London. She then went to work on the story. That same year, her mother died, leaving Rowling and the rest of her family heartbroken. It is this loss that shaped the way she wrote about Harry Potter and his dead parents. J.K.Rowling has formed the habit of writing since the age of six. She kept writing even after she moved to Portugal to teach English. She got married to a Portuguese journalist. The couple had a daughter but later divorced. Then she moved from Portugal to Edinburgh, Scotland. She struggled to support herself and her daughter Jessica while working on her novel. It took her almost 7 years to finish the first book and after several rejections, Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was published in the United Kingdom in 1997. In America,it is called Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. Thus far, the seven books have been made into a series of motion pictures by Warner Bros. By August 28, 2011, the harvest of Harry Potter series has been achieved more than $7.6 billion in the global and at the box office very much, Only in North America,it has been 2.3 billion, all the box office hit a new record of the film series. Breaking the box office records of Star Wars film series , which were $2.218 billion. Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of the eponymous adolescent wizard Harry Potter, together with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, his friends from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The central story are concerns Harrys struggle against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harrys parents in his quest to conquer the wizarding world and subjugate non-magic
