Abstract
With the rapid development of economy, the demand for material and culture is growing increasingly. In recent years, large-scale cultural and sports activities have been frequently organized in many major cities, which can both meet the needs of material and cultural and promote the development of the city. However, the traffic generated suddenly that comes along seriously traffic congestion. Currently, some of large cities already have measures and experience to deal with sudden passenger flow and many researchers have proposed various optimization methods. Nevertheless, the measurements and methods mostly focused on how to effectively evacuate the sudden flow and relieve traffic congestion from a macro point of view, which lack of research on the public transit efficiency and the promotion of service levels. The phenomenon of difficult public traffic transfer and low transfer efficiency still exist.
To solve the transfer problem and improve the service level of existing public transit, researches should be investigated systematically in a specific range of sudden passenger flow. In this study, the effects of propagation characteristics of sudden passenger flow have been researched and the scope of influence is determined by the maximum influence distance obtained from plume model of gas diffusion theory. A method has been proposed to predict the induced public traffic, which takes the intersection of the main roads around large activity venues as nodes to divide traffic zones and assumes that the sudden passenger flow evenly spreads from the primary node to outward. Specific methods of efficient public transit path have been studied and the assignment methods of induced public transport such as multi-path assignment method, all-or-nothing traffic assignment, and K-shortest path algorithm have also been researched. An assessment indicator system for conventional public traffic transfer has been
