* This slide outlines other ANX characteristics:1. It’s usable by any sector, and ANX use outside its initial deployment in the automotive sector is encouraged to maximize its value.[click]2. It’s based on Internet technologies and products, with no proprietary solutions, and takes advantage of widely available products.[click]3. It provides a variety of connectivity choices from dial-up, DSL, ISDN, and 56 KB ? T3. [click]4. ANX is available globally: a) North America: Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. b) 5 other regions: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America[click] * Now let’s look at how ANX relates with another OEM initiative - Covisint.1. ANX and Covisint were both initially funded, and continue to be endorsed and guided by the Big 3 OEMs. And both were spun-off as for-profit companies. However, some confusion arose from different use of the word “exchange”: a) With ANX, it’s an “exchange” of electronic information packets, i.e. a communications network. b) With Covisint, it’s an “exchange” of business transactions.2. They have complementary roles: a) Covisint, on business processes and related business applications. b) ANX, on a variety of infrastructure solutions to help exchange information between the applications.3. They share some important synergies: a) Widespread ANX usage enables faster Covisint roll-out to 850+ ANX TPs. b) Covisint is an ANX customer, with 2 links in production. In summary, the Big 3 OEMs focused the network infrastructure first with ANX in 1995, followed by business processes and applications with Covisint in 2000. So when Covisint rolls out EDI support, ANX will be a key enabler. [click] * This template is intended for external audiences (clients). Please keep the presentation to a maximum of 16 - 18 slides.
