TM SCiB Batteries Become a Vable Option for HEV/EV Manufacturers 作为 HEV 及 EV 用电池,SCiBTM 将成为汽车厂商的有力选择 Mr. Keizoh Honda, technical executive of Rechargeable Battery System of Transmission Distribution Industrial Systems Company in Toshiba Corporation, said, “We are a relative new-comer to the rechargeable battery business. But, we feel quite a positive feedback about their evaluations of TM “SCiB ” from automobile manufacturers.” With its lithium-ion rechargeable TM battery using lithium-titanate at anode, branded as SCiB , Toshiba made an entry to the rechargeable battery business last spring. It is steady building up track records for applications of electric bicycles and AGV (automatic guided vehicles) for factories and warehouses. The target at which Toshiba aims next is lithium-ion battery market for HEVs and EVs. The company has finished the development of batteries for HEVs, which advance output performance based on the batteries for the general industrial use. Furthermore, Toshiba begins sample shipment of high-energy lithium-ion batteries for EVs this fall.
