Teaching Objectives
The unit is intended to help students know more about cultural differences and culture shock. After learning the three passages, students are supposed to:
realize the importance of understanding cultural differences;
know how to adjust to a new culture;
learn to write a general statement supported by specific details and reasons;
improve the students’ reading skill of reading for the main ideas in paragraphs;
