Single-carrier Modulation and Neutral-point Balancing Method for Simplified
Three-phase Three-level Diode-clamped Rectifer

ABSTRACT: In this paper, single-carrier modulation method PWM
is proposed to control a simplified three-phase three-level 1
diode-clamped rectifier (TTDCR) after the analysis of
rectifier at non-regenerative applications. Single-carrier
modulation makes the use of analogue chip in TTDCR
possible. The problem of neutral-point balance is resolved by [2-4]
changing the amplitude of current reference according to the
voltage error of two capacitors. At the end of the paper, [ 5-15]
experimental results based on uc3854bn as controllers and the
simulation results are showed. It is proved that the input
current traces input voltage well, and neutral-point balance is
achieved.
