Methods: The serum level of IL-20 in 60 patients with R and in 30 normal control were measured with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELIS ) . T he correlations of the serum level of IL-20 be- tween R and normal person were analyzed. Results: The serum level of IL-20 in patients with R was statistically higher than that in healthy control ( P 01 01) . The level of IL-20 in patients with R was not correlated with the rheumatoid factor ( RF) , C reactive protein (CRP) , erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) , and the staging of hands. X-ray (P 01 2) . Conclusion: The serum level of IL-20 in patients with R is statistically higher than that in healthy control, but it is not correlated with RF, CRP, ESR, and the staging of hands. X- ray. IL-20 may be involved in the e- tiology of R and need to be studied more. Key word
