AbstractObjective：TounderstandthestatusquoandinfluencingfactorsofeHealthliteracyinelderlypatientswithchronicdiseases.

Methods：Atotalof235elderlypatientswithchronicdiseaseswhowerehospitalizedinNanjingDrumTowerHospitalfromMarchto

August2022wereselectedasthestudyobjects.Generaldataquestionnaire，FamilyAPGARIndex，InformationSelf⁃EfficacyScale，

eHealthLiteracyScalewereusedtoinvestigate.Results：ThetotaleHealthliteracyscoreofelderlypatientswithchronicdiseaseswas

22.11±8.59.TherewerepositivecorrelationsbetweenthetotaleHealthliteracyscoreandthescoresoffamilycareandinformationself⁃

efficacy，respectively（P0.01）.Familycareindexhadadirectpredictiveeffectonbothinformationself⁃efficacyandeHealthliteracy（all

P0.01）.Informationself⁃efficacypartiallymediatedtheeffectbetweenfamilycareindexandeHealthliteracy（P0.01）.Conclusions：

ThelevelofeHealthliteracyinelderlypatientswithchronicdiseaseswaspoor.Informationself⁃efficacyplayedanintermediary

rolebetweenfamilycareindexandeHealthliteracy.Medicalstaffshouldpayattentiontothepatientsfamilycarelevelandexternal
