Introduction Romanticism is a revolt反抗 of the imagination against the neoclassical新古典主义的 reason. The French revolution of 1789-1794 and the English industrial revolution exert施以影响 great influence on the romanticism. The romanticists express a negative attitude towards the existing social and political condition. They place the individual at the center of the art. The key words of the revolution are nature and imagination.
