BSTR CT M iyun iron ore tailings in Beijing w ere activated y a mechanochem ical m ethod. The influence of m echanochem ical
effect on the activation of the iron ore tailingswas analyzed y m eans of grain size analysis, Xray diffraction (XRD), scanning elec
tron m icroscope ( SEM ) and infrared rad iation ( IR) technologies. The iron ore tailings as raw m aterialsw ere used to produce h igh
strength construction m aterials. It is shown that the com pressive strength of the produced construction m aterials in wh ich the overall
content of the iron ore tailings is 70% can reach up to 89M Pa.
