超高分子量聚乙烯纤维(UHMWPE fiber)

Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene fiber (UHMWPE) is a high performance fiber after carbon fiber, aramid fiber of the third generation, with excellent mechanical properties. Only the density of aramid fiber 2/3 and high modulus carbon fiber 1/2, also has excellent impact resistance, good chemical resistance, excellent wear resistance and good electrical insulation etc.. So, UHMWPE fiber has been widely used in aerospace, military industry and other important sectors. Strength of UHMWPE fiber cone and several other fibers are shown in table 1.

In order to improve the UHMWPE fiber surface activity, to enhance the interface between fiber and resin strength, increase the scope of its application in composite materials, the need for UHMWPE fiber surface modification.
