Firstly, an overview of ZnO nanomaterials and their application fields is introduced, and the application prospects of nanomaterials are explained from the perspective of nanostructures and special properties. Then, the preparation methods are discussed, including chemical vapor deposition, hydrothermal synthesis, sol-gel method, and electrodeposition method, etc. This paper mainly introduces the method of preparing ZnO nanorod arrays by liquid-phase doping, and focuses on the process and mechanism of liquid-phase Ga doping. Then, the physical and chemical properties of ZnO nanorod arrays are characterized, including morphology, structure, crystal structure, elemental analysis, optical properties, and electrical properties.
