Research on the Bus Capacitor Current Control Scheme for Buck/Boost Bi-directional
Converters in Motor Drive Systems

ABSTRACT: A bi-directional Buck/Boost converter is placed 0
in the motor drive system, which can regulate the bus voltages

for high efficiency and output power. The reason that the
traditional control scheme cannot suppress bus voltage (bi-directional DC-DC converterBDC)
fluctuation caused by motor operation state fast switching is
analyzed. On this basis, a novel control scheme with bus [1-2]BDC
voltages outer the control loop and bus capacitor currents inner
Buck/Boost
the control loop for the bi-directional Buck/Boost is presented.
For the bus capacitor current can not be measured directly, the [3]
[4-5] [6-7] [8-9]
paper proposes a new capacitor current calculation method.
Small-signal model analysis results of the drive system show Buck/Boost
the proposed scheme in this paper has better performance in
voltage fluctuation suppression than
