The 14th Research Institute , China Electronics Technology Group Corporation ,Nanjing 210039 ,China) Abstract :The objective of this paper is to present a method for improving the dynamic performance of PM AC servo system. The variation of load has a great influence on the dynamic performance of the servo sys- tem. To solve this problem ,a model reference adaptive method was introduced to identify the rotary inertia. As the rotary inertia was identified ,the load torque was obtained and the current loop was compensated. The simulation and experiment showed that the dynamic performance of PM AC servo system was improved ,and validate the analysis in this paper. Key words :PM AC servo system ;rotary inertia
