500mA Smart Fan Driver with Embeded Hall-Effect Sensor
General Description
CCH284 is a single-chip solution for driving two-coil brushless DC fans and motors. Based on BiCMOS
process, CCH284 includes a Hall-effect sensor, dynamic offset correction and two complementary open-drain
output drivers with internal zener diode clamp protection to prevent over voltage damage caused by back EMF.
CCH284 provides Rotor Lock Protection which shut down output drivers if rotor lock is detected to help
protect the motor coils.
CCH284 is available in TO-94 and SOT-89-5L packages. Both TO-94 and SOT-89-5L are ROHS compliant.
The normal operation temperature range is -40~85°C
