BESⅢ实验是在中国北京的北京正负电子对撞机(BEPCⅡ)上进行的重大科学项目,主要目的是研究重建介子谱、强子谱以及精确测量τ粒子物理量。作为BESⅢ的核心之一,漂移室量测的位置和动量信息的精确度对于实验结果的可信度和可重复性起到了决定性的作用。本文旨在对漂移室的运行性能进行研究,包括漂移时间和漂移速度对位置测量误差的影响,刻度和对齐的影响,以及噪声的产生机制和噪声对位置测量的影响等方面。通过实验和模拟的方法得出了一些结论和建议,例如增加漂移室工作气体的纯度,优化刻度和对齐的方案,以及增加漂移室真空度等措施可以有效的提高漂移室的测量性能,并将对实验结果的可靠性和精度产生积极的影响。

Abstract:
TheBESⅢexperimentisamajorscientificprojectconductedontheBeijingElectronPositionCollider(BEPCⅡ)inBeijing,China.Themainpurposeistostudythereconstructedmesonspectrum,hadronspectrum,andaccuratelymeasuretheτparticlephysicalquantities.AsoneofthecoresofBESⅢ,theaccuracyofthedriftchamberspositionandmomentuminformationplaysadecisiveroleinthecredibilityandrepeatabilityofexperimentalresults.Thisarticleaimstostudytheoperationalperformanceofthedriftchamber,includingtheimpactofdrifttimeanddriftspeedonpositionmeasurementerrors,theimpactofcalibrationandalignment,andthemechanismofnoisegenerationandtheimpactofnoiseonpositionmeasurement,etc.Someconclusionsandsuggestionswereobtainedthroughexperimentalandsimulationmethods,suchasincreasingthepurityoftheworkinggasofthedriftchamber,optimizingcalibrationandalignmentmethods,andincreasingthevacuumdegreeofthedriftchamber,whichcaneffectivelyimprovethemeasurementperformanceofthedriftchamberandhaveapositiveimpactonthereliabilityandaccuracyofexperimentalresults.
