Abstract TheZhifangModepositinSongxianCounty,HenanProvinceislocatedintheXiongerTerraneinnorthernQinling
orogen.Itsorebodies,occurringasquartzveins,arehostedinvolcanicrocksoftheXiong’erGroupandcontrolledbysubsidiary
faultsoftheMachayingfaultwhichisthesouthboundaryfaultoftheXiong’erterrane.Threestagesofhydrothermaloreforming
processarerecognized,Early,MiddleandLate,characterizedbyquartzpyrite,quartzsulfidesandcarbonates,respectively.The
earlystagequartzveinsormineralassemblagesarestructurallydeformedandbrecciated.Threetypesoffluidinclusions,i.e.CO
2
HO,HONaClanddaughtermineralbearing,areobservedinquartzcrystalsformedinearlyandmiddlestages;whilethelate

stagecalcitesonlycontainHONaClinclusions.Fromearlytolatestages,homogeneoustemperaturesoffluidinclusionsdecrease

from467~380℃(E),through360~250℃(M),to240~137℃(L);salinitieschangefrom018%~1313%NaCleqv(E),
through001%~2070%NaCleqv(M),to035% ~1285%NaCleqv(L).Salinitiesofthedaughtercrystalbearingfluid
