In this instrum ent, the re- flectance IR sensor is applied to collect the pulse signals; uPSD3234 is used as central control un it, and converts the infrared signals from analog to digita.l A fter low - pass filter and d igital d ifferentiation, the temp late adapted to the differential pulse waveform is ap- p lied for thematched filter, thus the pu lse signal is detected. And then amed ian algorithm is used to extract the valid heart beat intervals. Thereb , an accurate beat rate is found. The expermi en t show s that themethod of data processing is effective and the s stem is feasible.
