E-mail:jjiun@163.com The New High-Field Asymmetric Waveform Ion Mobility Spectrometry Technology and Its Application Ji Jun, Zhang Yan, Wang Liping, Huang Qibing (Chemical Defence Research Institute, Beijing 102205, China) Abstract In this paper, we introduce the principle of the high-field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry (FAMIS) technology and compare it with the traditional ion mobility spectrometry. FAMIS is believed to be a revolutionary technology breakthrough in rapid gas detection. In the field of gaseous ion-detection ,it can detect gases to as low as ppb level. It can be applied widely in the field of rapid chemical-detection, MS-analysis and so on in the future. So far, no such work has been reported in China yet.
