Abstract In this paper, we introduce the principle of the high-field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry
(FAMIS) technology and compare it with the traditional ion mobility spectrometry. FAMIS is believed to be a revolutionary
technology breakthrough in rapid gas detection. In the field of gaseous ion-detection ,it can detect gases to as low as ppb level.
It can be applied widely in the field of rapid chemical-detection, MS-analysis and so on in the future. So far, no such work has
been reported in China yet.
