The use of new technology and means can signif icantly improve the diversity and innovation of teaching form. The development of smart education promotes the educational reform which closely combines modern information technology with traditional basic education curriculum. This paper reviews the development history of smart education and its application in college chemistry and chemical related courses, and discusses these problems, challenges and countermeasures of the hybrid teaching model based on smart education, and looks forward to its development prospects.
