毕业论文的撰写及相关步骤 I. 毕业论文（graduation）thesis，（graduation）dissertation，（graduation） paper II. 毕业论文的性质：是高等院校教学计划规定的综合性实践教学环节，是大学生完成学业的标志性作业，是对学习成果的综合性总结和检阅，是大学生从事科学研究的最初尝试。毕业论文属于学术著作（academic writing）。 III.内容与格式： 1.内容： (1)毕业论文的分类：英美文学类、语言（学）类、翻译类、文化类、英语教学法类。（详情见VI.论文的选题） (2)如何确定写哪一类文章？要写内容熟悉的、自己感兴趣的那一类文章, 参考所收集到的合适的资料撰写, 但不许抄袭别人的论文。 (3)学生之间论文标题及内容应避免雷同。 2.格式:（见“外语系毕业论文样本”） IV.步骤： 1.收集好相关材料并仔细阅读这些材料。 2.确定论文标题交与老师审阅。 3.老师发下任务书之后，学生须将老师审阅过的论文标题及主要内容填写上去，并且填写好任务书上面其它需填写的各项内容。（详情见任务书样本） 4. 完成外文文献翻译。（所译外文资料内容须与论文标题及内容相符，详情见外文文献翻译样本） 5.完成开题报告。（详情见开题报告样本） 6. 记载“日志”：从系里动员及确定了指导教师时起，就要开始记载“日志”，记载撰写论文的各项事宜。 7.开题报告答辩后，在指导教师的指导下，经过反复的修改,学生分别完成毕业论文初稿及定稿。 （注意：论文、任务书、外文文献翻译、开题报告的格式、字体、字号等各项规定按照有关样本的规定来操作。以下讲毕业论文的格式。） V．撰写论文的具体要求： 1.论述的范围要适中，题目不宜太大或太小。 2．论文必须论点明确，论据有说服力，例证充足。论述时不得“跑题”。 3.撰写论文须注意：（1）主题明确；（2）段落层次分明; （3）注意语法和词语的运用，避免语法或用词错误；（4）表达清楚、简练、通顺；（5） 论文中用正式语体。 4.参考文献：引用的参考文献要有说服力，并且要与自己的论述文字连贯，形成一个整体。如所引用的是中文文献，则须译成英语，而且一定要翻译好。请见以下论文中引用参考文献的例子： (1) “In an age of globalization, businesses around the world spare no efforts to market their products or services in the world marketplace and to build their brand images on a global basis”.[1：3]For Chinese manufacturers, developing the right international advertisements before entering the world market has become a very important marketing strategy.---------------------------------------------------------- (2) Liu Miqin said, “cultural signals can be found throughout a language, which requires an excellent understanding of both language and culture.”[2:7] As a translator, he needs the mastery of English words, expressions and grammar rules on the one hand, and should be acquainted with the knowledge of English history, culture, religion, custom, etc. … on the other .------------------------------------------------------------ (3) Wang Zuoliang said that in translating a certain part of language, what a translator sometimes has to deal with may be the two kinds of culture involved.
