Hydrocarbon accumulation mode of Nantun Formation in western slope belt of Beier
Depression in Hailaer Basin

The study of forming conditions of fault block oil reservoir in Beier Depression shows that the accumulation conditions were
superior. The main controlling factors of hydrocarbon accumulation were sealing characteristics of faults, tectonic setting and types
of sand body, etc. And there were three kinds of hydrocarbon accumulation modes, which were respectively controlled by sand
bodies connecting carrier beds, unconformity carrier beds and fault carrier beds. This paper systematically analyzed hydrocarbon
accumulation conditions in Nantun Formation in western slope belt of Beier Depression, summarized controlling factors of oil
reservoirs and established perfect hydrocarbon accumulation mode, which had certain guiding significance in the exploration of
Nantun Formation.
