Abstract

Inrecentyears,educationexchangesbetweenChinaandtheUnitedStateshavebeenfrequent,andcooperationandexchangesbetweenuniversitiesinthetwocountrieshavealsoincreased.However,therearemanydifferencesintheeducationandfundingsystemsbetweenthetwocountries.ThispaperaimstocomparethefundingsystemsforcollegestudentsinChinaandtheUnitedStates,analyzethedifferencesandreasonsbetweenthetwocountries,andexplorethepossibilityandprospectsoffutureSino-USeducationexchanges.

ThispaperfirstbrieflydescribesthebackgroundandoverviewofthefundingsystemsforChineseandAmericancollegestudents,includingChinasdomesticfinancialaidandscholarshipsystemandtheUSfederalfinancialaidandschoolscholarshipsystem.Then,wecomparethefundingsystemsofthetwocountries,analyzethedifferencesinfundingsources,applicationconditions,andusagerestrictions,andanalyzethereasonsfortheirdifferences.Atthesametime,wealsodiscusstheproblemsanddeficienciesinthefundingsystemsforChineseandAmericancollegestudents.

Finally,weproposesomespecificsuggestionsonhowtopromotetheexchangeandcooperationoffundingsystemsbetweenChineseandAmericancollegestudents,includingstrengtheningthedockingandmutualcommunicationofpoliciesandregulations,strengtheningcommunicationandexchangesbetweenuniversitiesinChinaandtheUnitedStates,andexpandingtheparticipationofenterprisesandsociety.
