Abstract
WiththerapiddevelopmentoftheInternetandthepopularityof
mobileterminals,WirelessApplicationProtocol(WAP)playsan
importantroleinthemobileInternet.However,withtheexhaustionof
IPv4addressesandthepopularityofIPv6,WAPservicesfacethe
challengeoftransitioningfromIPv4toIPv6.Inordertosolvethese
problems,thispaperwillresearchandimplementWAPservicetransition
technologyintheIPv4-IPv6transitionperiod,includingdual-stack
technology,NAT64technology,andDNS64technology.
Firstly,thispaperwillintroducethebasicconceptsand
characteristicsofIPv4andIPv6protocols,aswellasthetypesand
principlesofIPv4-IPv6transitiontechnology.Secondly,thispaperwill
studytheadaptationtechnologyofWAPservicesintheIPv4-IPv6
transitionperiod,howtoprovidethesameWAPservicesinIPv4and
IPv6environments,andhowtosolveproblemssuchasDNSresolution
andaddressconversion.Finally,thispaperwillimplementaWAPclient
andservertoverifythefeasibilityandeffectivenessoftheresearched
technologythroughexperiments.
Theresearchandimplementationinthispapercanprovidea
feasibletransitionsolutionforWAPservicesintheIPv4-IPv6transition
period,whichhasimportantpracticalsignificanceforthedevelopment
ofmobileInternet.
