Benefits of emerging wireless and mobile commerce technologies include improved on-self availability, customer service and trace ability. Mobile ICT information and communication technology plays a key role in enhancing information sharing along the various information systems used by the organizations integrating the supply chain. In Europe it has a market share of 45% of the total freight transport.. For years in road transport logistics, mobile ICT applications have been implemented with various degrees of success.???Mobile ICT can be seen as a critical element of the general ICT function suitable for international supply chains, especially in multimodal logistics comprising road transportation feeding port operations sea transportation . Mobile ICT applications can offer the possibility of achieving higher levels of detail regarding the information exchanged, not to mention the result it has on the levels of visibility along the supply chain. Fig. 1 shows the use of different technologies to trace goods shipped from point A to point B by using GPS/ satellite localization, the use of RFID tags, 3G and 4G,???cellular networks, as well as web access from the cab of the truck and interaction with smart road signs.
