Zhejiang Smart Rail Transit Engineering Technology Research Center) Abstract ： Combined with a project example, this paper briefly describes the local collapse outside the foundation pit due to water and sand gushing in the process of excavation due to the defects of the retaining structure in the watered sandy stratum. This paper analyzes the reason of dangers and their harm to surrounding environment, summarizes the emergency measures that should be taken when gushing water and sand occur at the foundation pit, and puts forward reasonable suggestions and measures to avoid similar dangers. In order to reduce the risk of similar projects, this paper provides a useful reference for the prevention of leakage damage risk and emergency rescue preparation of foundation pit engineering under the same geological conditions.
