provideinputsandoutputsforsignalssuchassensors,actuators,and

switches.

Objective:Theobjectiveofthisprojectistoconductresearchon

theWindowsCE.netoperatingsystem,itsarchitectureandcomponents,

andtodevelopanI/Oboarddriverprogramforinputandoutput

operation.Thedriverprogramshouldbeabletohandleinputsignals

fromthephysicalworldandoutputsignalstothephysicalworldviathe

I/Oboard.

Methodology:Thefollowingmethodologywillbeusedtoachieve

theobjectivesoftheproject:

1.ResearchontheWindowsCE.netoperatingsystemarchitecture

anditscomponents.Thiswillinvolvereadingdocumentation,manuals,

andonlineresources.

2.DevelophardwareinterfacingcomponentsincludingtheI/O

board,inputsensorsandoutputactuators.

3.DevelopanI/Oboarddriverprogramthatcaninterfacewiththe

hardwareandtheWindowsCE.netsystem.

4.Testthedevelopeddriverprogramwithinputandoutputsignals.

ExpectedOutcome:Theexpectedoutcomeofthisprojectisa

functionalI/OboarddriverprogramthatcaninterfacewithWindows

CE.netsystemandtheI/Oboard.Theprogramshouldbeableto
