In accordance with this situation, No.3 Steel Rolling General Plant of Ma ’anshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has modified the old type mechanical lime shaft kilns. The modified lime shaft kilns can produce high quality active lime. The steelmaking with active lime can shorten steelmaking cycle and reduce the lime consumption per ton of steel.
