Abstract SeveralvolcanicbeltsdevelopedintheSanjiangorogenicbelt,southeastofTibetanPlateauRecentlypublishednew
geochronologicalandgeochemicaldatagraduallyrevealedthespatialandtemporalrelationshipamongthesebeltsHowever,thesebelts
arecommonlycoveredbyMesozoictoCenozoicsedimentsoftheLanpingbasin,whichhaveledtosomeerroneoustectonic
interpretationsBasementrocksexposeverywellinMisharegions,easternmarginoftheLanpingbasinThebasementconsistsoftwo
tectonostratigraphicunits:anupperoneconsistingofLateTriassicfinegrainedclasticandbioclasticandalowervolcaniconeThe
loweronehasathicknessofca150m,whichismadeofthreevolcanicssedimentssequencesEachsequenceiscomposedof
ignimbriteandcrystallithictuffinlowerandreddishordarkshaleandlimestoneinupperLAICPMSUPbresultsofzirconfromthe
volcanicrocksdemonstratedthatthevolcanismstartedatleastsince258Ma,andcontinuedto248MaInsituzirconLuHfisotopic
datarevealedasignificantcontributionofmantlederivedmaterialtotheearliermagmaticrocks,whilethelatterstagemagmaticrocks
seemtohavecompletelyresultedfrompartialmeltingofPr
