You will learn how a text should be written to allow readers to move from one idea to the next easily. This part will tell you that each body paragraph usually contains a topic sentences and a concluding sentence to the paragraph. Try to find what the topic sentence should be like and where it can be found, what supporting sentences are, and what the function of a concluding sentence is in a paragraph. Read Part 4 and try to find how the concluding paragraph functions in a text. Do the exercise on page 41. Read the sentences and decide which paragraph they belong to and what type of sentence each one is. Where to attend university is a hot topic among us Senior Three students. Some of my classmates will choose to go to university in Beijing, and others will stay in Changsha for college education. Personally, I prefer to go to university in Changsha. Firstly, the climate in Changsha agrees with me. It is not very hot in summer, nor is it very cold in winter. Secondly, I want to be with my family. Changsha is near to my home, where Hunan cuisine can be enjoyed anywhere. Thirdly, as the capital city of our province, Changsha has good universities and good specialized fields. For example, engineering in Hunan University has a long history and clinic medicine and the materials science in Central South University are well-known.
