Gastrochilus so ai was recognized as a distinct species, differing fro Gastrochilus japonicus by the larger plant, subu bellate inflorescence, and slippershaped hypochile. Four species, Bulbophyllu gyrochilu , Dendrobiu praecintu , Peristylus superanthus and Sunipia angustipetala, are represented as new records fro China.
