Abstract: there are more and more image information on the Internet. Better retrieval technology is needed to retrieve the information accurately and efficiently. This paper introduces the network information content of the image retrieval technology based on standardization technology principle, method and image detail information of image information retrieval, finally pointed out the shortcomings and development trend of network image information retrieval technology.

CBIR (Content-Based Image Retrieval), a content-based image information search method, is a hotspot in the research of image information search. This method can avoid many shortcomings of text based methods. For example, it directly faces the image feature itself, and does not need manual tagging, so it can avoid the subjectivity of manual description and reduce the workload greatly.
