Thenutshallbegaugedusingtwoplainringgauges,AandB,todemonstratethe

coincidentalacceptabilityofhexheight,wrenchingheightandwidthacrosscorners.

A1.2HEXAGONFLANGED.

Thenutshallbegaugedusingthreeplainringgauges,A,BandC,todemonstratethe

coincidentalacceptabilityofhexheight,wrenchingheight,widthacrosscorners,andthe

flangediameterandthickness.

A2.GAUGING.

A2.1HEXPORTION.

ForhexagonnutsgaugeA2shallbeseatedonaflatsurfaceandthenutplacedinit.For

hexagonflangednutsgaugeA1shallbeplacedoverthehexportionandseatofthe

flange.GaugeBshallbeplacedonthetopofthenutnormaltothenutaxis.Thetwo

gaugesshallnotbeincontact.

A2.2FLANGE.

GaugeCshallbeseatedonaflatsurfaceandthenutplacedinit.GaugeA1shallbe

placedoverthehexportion.ThenutshallseatwithingaugeC,andgaugesA1andC

shallnotbeincontact.
