TheWPA1200seriesiscertifiedintheU.S.toconformtotherequirementsofDHHS/CDRH21CFRSubchapterJ

andtotherequirementsofIEC825-1.ClassIIandClass2productsarenotconsideredtobehazardous.The

WPA1200seriescontainsaninternalVisibleLaserDiode(VLD)TheVLDemissionsdonotexceedthemaximum

limitssetforthintheaboveregulations.Thescannerisdesignedsothatthereisnohumanaccesstoharmful

laserlightduringnormaloperation,usermaintenanceorduringprescribedserviceoperations.

ThelasersafetywarninglabelrequiredbytheDHHS/IECfortheWPA1200seriesoptionallaserscannermodule

islocatedonthememorycompartmentcover,onthebackoftheunit.

Caution:Useofcontrolsoradjustmentsorperformanceofproceduresotherthanthosespecifiedherein

mayresultinhazardouslaserlight.Useofopticalinstrumentswiththescannerwillincrease

eyehazard.Opticalinstrumentsincludebinoculars,microscopesandmagnifyingglasses.This

doesnotincludeeyeglasseswornbytheuser.

Thisunitisequippedwithabatterypackandbackupbattery.ItispossiblethattheWPA1200maynotpower-on

duetobatterydischargeasaresultofstorage.

Intheabovesituation,plugtheWPA1200totheUSBchargingcablethatiswithDCinportorputtheunitintothe

WPA1200Cradle(with5V/3AAC-DCadapter),andrechargetheunitfor16hoursinordertofullychargeits

backupbattery.

Thebackupbatterywillchargefromexternalpowerorthemainbattery(ifthemainbatterystillhasenoughpower

toturnon).Intheeventthemainbatteryisfullycharged,refrain
