HP BladeSystem Futures HP Confidential * HP and VMware have teamed up and partner to bring forth once such scenario to offer everything required for creating and maintaining such an environment….. This is achieved in collaboration of the VMware ESX OS and the ProLiant Essentials Virtualization Management Software comprised of VMM and SMP working within HP SIM as extensible software management plug-in’s. Capabilities include the migration from not only physical to virtual and virtual to physical, but also virtual to virtual if there is ever a need to transition from one vendors offering to another such as those offered from VMware and Microsoft… This scenario offers you the ability to propose and include with every VMware opportunity that comes your way…. As they decide to virtualize under-utilized physical systems, they will need to convert those physical systems to virtual systems. For many customers, this will require rebuilding the entire application from scratch in a virtual environment. Ideally, customers would like to have a tool that helps them automate migration of applications between physical and virtual platforms. There will also be instances in which customers want to convert virtual machines into physical ones a) for application support purposes, b) to give applications more growth room than the current 2 processor limit for VMware ESX (1 processor for Microsoft Virtual Server), or c) to deploy applications tested in a VM to a production physical environment. Rather than rebuild applications in a physical environment, customers would like to have a tools that
